Charity Food Bank Round-up
February has seen our 8th local food bank donation. This month, the team from Radcliffe went shopping to buy £220 worth of supplies for Trinity Food Bank – independently run by the wonderful volunteers at Trinity Baptist Church.
Since April 2021, we have been dropping food parcels off at food banks chosen by the team at each of our sites. Apex has been putting a pound in for every new customer who has rented a storage unit with us – so if you have signed up to store with us, thank you!

You have helped us raise £1717 to buy much needed provisions and provide approximately 2120 meals to people in your local area!
This project has been a great experience for our team who have enjoyed being able to help their community, and we also managed to get to the final of the FEDESSA European Self Storage Awards under the category of Charity Initiative.
We were invited to the awards show as one of two finalists under the category, and, although we didn’t manage to take the trophy home, getting there was a great achievement. Last year saw a record number of entries of an exceptional calibre.
Rennie Schafer, Chief Executive Officer of FEDESSA said: “A really solid, well-presented entry and a deserved finalist. Great effort Apex and keep up the good work.”
This food bank project is finished for now but Apex Self Storage is continuously looking for new, more dynamic ways to support our local community. If you are based in the North West, need support running an innovative community group or project, and think we could help, please get in touch by emailing [email protected].
